Game Time Social is a social media platform that is used as a hub for any gamer or streamer.
GTS focuses on connecting gamers with like-minded people who play what they play and has the potential to be a big component of the gaming industry.
Current Brand
Game Time Social has a website laid out like a social media platform. Your profile, other groups, other users, and pages for each game submitted to be featured by the users. Users could go into groups and pages and post their achievements, their struggles, and even ask to form teams with others.
The struggle the creator had was recruitment. The free-to-use platform did not have nearly enough users to interest investors. As I expressed my interest in helping with their marketing needs, I pitched the idea of creating posters for conventions that show up many times a year within our local areas.
Drafts
I needed to think of an idea to get more new users. First I thought of a poster to gain attention, using a QR code to gain the most attention. Seeing how many guest walking by are always have their cell phones in hand.
Thinking of different poster layouts that were possible.
I wanted the logo to be part of the poster while showing images relating to video games and Esports competitions.
Finding the perfect balance for the poster was going to be the hardest thing, I decided to use my sketched ideas and to create a draft using Photoshop and InDesign.
The first draft had many issues;
 -The red & blue gradient was not appealing to the eye due to the gradient background.
-The text font looked cool, but it was also tough to make out with the letters as close as they were.
-The logo was huge compared to the rest of the poster.
-Afterwards, I wanted to eliminate the QR code and add more much-needed text explaining why someone should join.
Final Designs
The three posters are laid out to share the same layout and design, while also showing off different images and text to go along with what is shown. We have a poster for the competitive, those who want to casually play with others, and those who want the news and updates on new or popular game titles.
Mock-up idea for three retractable banners. Due to most conventions issuing a table, we would have a three-sided wall behind the table to lay out our banners.
We could use the triple poster layout on roll-up banners for the booth, but conventions have posters and ads all over the building. We could use this option as well to make it so posters are not just at the staffed booth.
